Steelers’ Polamalu Back At Practice On Friday, Will Play Sunday Vs. Vikings

The Steelers reportedly expect Polamalu to play this Sunday when they host the undefeated Vikings.

But this does not necessarily mean the Steelers’ All-Pro safety will miss this week’s game. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that Steelers coach Mike Tomlin wants to rest Polamalu in practice this week after the Steelers safety banged his knee last Sunday, and was slightly hobbled. Tomlin stressed, however, that Polamalu did not re-aggravate his previous knee injury, and that Polamalu should be ready to play this Sunday against the Vikings.

Steelers safety Troy Polamalu is ready to go on Sunday versus the Browns. From Pro Football Talk:

Troy Polamalu was unable to push his injured knee again during Friday’s practice, leaving him likely out for Sunday’s game at the Lions.

Meanwhile, his teammate and fellow safety Ryan Clark says he doesn’t want Polamalu to play, citing the artificial turf the Lions play on as potentially hazardous to Troy’s knee.
