Bad news for the Colorado Avalanche. According to the Denver Post, netminder Craig Anderson missed practice Tuesday with a groin injury.
Avalanche Netminder Anderson Misses Practice With Pulled Groin
Officially, the team is saying the injury is "minor", and they expect Anderson to practice tomorrow. Of course, there is always great concern when talking about a goalie's with groin injuries as they tend to linger and cause problems throughout the year (see: Roberto Luongo last year).
Anderson was sensational in the Avalanche's first two wins, posting .973 save percentage and a shutout against Vancouver. Were Anderson to miss significant time, enigmatic backup Peter Budaj would get the nod.
