The NJ Star Ledger reports that Eli Manning didn’t make it out onto the practice field Thursday:
Another Day, Same Story for Eli Manning: Still No-Show at Practice
The Giants quarterback is inside the building while his teammates are working on the field. This marks his second straight day of missed practice with a plantar fascia injury suffered in the fourth quarter of the victory over Kansas City.
Manning was hoping he would be back on the field on Thursday, but obviously he wasn’t given the green light to do so. The sixth-year veteran also said be believes this injury isn’t as bad as the shoulder sprain he played through in 2007. But that year, he was at least doing light work on the side by Thursday and practiced in a limited capacity on Friday.
If Manning can’t go, David Carr (/cringe) would get his first start with the Giants at home against the Raiders.
