Look for Suh and Weatherspoon to shine tonight

Two of the more exciting defensive prospects will be on the field tonight when Missouri takes on Nebraska.

Clearly the star of tonight's game is senior Ndamukong Suh, the incredible defensive tackle for Nebraska. How is this for insane? Suh is tied for sixth in the nation in passes defended per game with 1.5 a contest. Four of those came in a dominant performance against Virginia Tech on Sept. 19.

Add in three sacks and Suh already has almost a year's worth of production for an interior lineman. He can make so many plays thanks in large part to his quickness. The senior has cemented his place as the top senior defensive tackle in the nation. His play is very similar to that of Shaun Rogers for the Browns, except he's about 40 pounds lighter.

Suh plays with a nasty demeanor and should have another great game tonight.

For the Tigers, Sean Weatherspoon makes plays from sideline-to-sidleine. He already has 38 tackles and is on pace for his third consecutive season of more than 100 tackles.

Weatherspoon doesn't have the most physical style of play, but he's a good tackler and plays disciplined.

Also for the Tigers, keep an eye on senior wide receiver Danario Alexander. Until this season, injuries have ravaged Alexander's career. He came to Missouri with freakish athletic ability, including a reported 46-inch vertical leap.

Some of that leaping ability might be gone, but he's turned himself into sophomore quarterback Blaine Gabbert's favorite target. On the season, Alexander has 29 receptions for 404 yards and four touchdowns.

Although Gabbert is only a sophomore, watch how he throws the ball. He has the potential to be a first-round pick due to his large frame and great throwing arm.

Other than Suh, Weatherspoon and Alexander, this game does not feature a lot of NFL Draft talent among its upperclassmen.

He’s a bit of a liability in the run game, but his potential in the pass game was enough for Buffalo Rumblings.
