Beware the Chavez Ravine Shadows!

Those of you tuned in to Dick Stockton and Bob Brenly on TBS’ broadcast of the Dodgers-Cardinals NLDS Game 2 already know, but for the rest of you, consider the following an advisory. The late afternoon sun is creating dark shadows in Chavez Ravine, shadows which even as we speak slowly creep across the third base line into the field of play. Bob Brenly is obsessed with these shadows. I have a hard time believing professional baseball players, all of whom have played in countless diverse baseball environments for the better part of their lives, will have any problem with these shadows, but Brenly clearly disagrees. Be advised: These shadows mean business.
