According to Mlive.com, Matthew Stafford returned to practice today, but is still unlikely to see the field this upcoming Sunday vs. the Steelers:
Stafford Practices, Doubtful for Sunday
Detroit Lions rookie quarterback Matthew Stafford returned to practice on Friday and went through several individual drills. In the small portion of practice that the media is allowed to watch, Stafford did not do any significant running.
Stafford, who suffered a knee injury last week against the Chicago Bears, did not practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Because he missed those days of work, it’s still unlikely that he’ll start against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Coach Jim Schwartz, however, as not ruled Stafford out of that game.
So, Stafford sits means Culpepper starts right? And they’re playing the ruthless Steelers defense? Smells like a recipe for victory number two in Detroit this weekend!
