You know, the Twins’ Nick Blackburn has thrown four no-hit innings against the Yankees tonight. You know, there’s only been one no-hitter thrown in the history of postseason play (Don Larsen’s perfect game in the 1956 World Series). You know, A.J. Burnett threw a no-hitter back in 2001. You know, the TBS broadcast booth is refusing to use the phrase “no-hitter” at this point in the game. Unlike Chip Caray, we at SB Nation are not beholden to fairy tales such as “jinxes.” Leave the superstition for the Superstation.
To Jinx, Perchance, to Dream
↵UPDATE: Moments after this posting, Blackburn lost his no-hitter. Thus, jinxes are real. The Yankees can wait until after the game to thank me.
