This is going to lead to a lot of really bad jokes from White Sox fans — there’s already plenty of homophobia on display in Chicago’s provincial baseball rivalry — but it’s a net positive all the same: Laura Ricketts, one of the Cubs’ new Ricketts family owners, is an openly gay lesbian, apparently the first openly gay owner in pro sports.
