Brian Westbrook Sits Out Wednesday Practice

The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Eagles blog, Bird’s Eye View, reports that oft-injured running back Brian Westbrook will miss the team’s practice on Wednesday due to soreness in his surgically repaired right ankle.

While this is certainly an inauspicious sign for Westbrook, especially considering that he sat out the team’s last game against the Cowboys while he recovered from the concussion he suffered the week prior, there may not be too much reason for worry. As the Inquirer explains, the Eagles are practicing indoors on Wednesday, and Westbrook has a history of sitting out practices on astroturf. We’ll continue to monitor his status throughout the week.
