NFL.com has a good Q&A column for your perusal this Wednesday. Michael Fabiano takes questions on all kinds of fantasy issues and spits out some advice. One question is something that has popped up in multiple places this week. What to do about Megatron, Calvin Johnson, in Detroit? Injuries sapped part of his season, but even when on the field he hasn’t put up the numbers we expected, and his chemistry with rookie QB Matt Stafford is not where it needs to be.
Q&A With Michael Fabiano
So, trade Megatron or not?
Would you trade Calvin Johnson for Vincent Jackson straight up in a seasonal league? I’m worried about Megatron! — A. Chang, Hawaii
M.F.: Because this is a seasonal league, I would make this move. I’m not as worried about Johnson going forward, especially because he’s facing some great matchups down the stretch. What I do worry about is the confidence of his quarterback, Matthew Stafford, who’s coming off a five-interception performance against a mediocre Seahawks defense. Jackson, who is the top-scoring wide receiver on NFL.com after nine weeks, has a far more reliable quarterback in Philip Rivers and is developing into a real star.
