Brian Westbrook isn't the only Eagle with injury issues. The Philadelphia Inquirer's Eagles blog, Bird's Eye View, reports that the team will place cornerback Ellis Hobbs on injured reserve after he suffered a neck injury during the team's Week 9 loss to the Cowboys. Ellis will undergo neck surgery.

While head coach Andy Reid was not aware of the specifics of Hobbs' surgery, Reid indicated that the injury was not expected to be career-threatening. The Eagles signed cornerback Ramsey Robinson, late of the Detroit Lions, to replace Hobbs.
Reid also told reporters that Quintin Demps, Macho Harris and Jeremy Maclin were the top candidates to take over punt returning duties for the injured Hobbs.
