Rumors have swirled for the past few days concerning an affair between Shaquille O’Neal and Gilbert Arenas’ currently pregnant fiance, Laura Govan. And where at first these may have been dismissed as mere murmurs from internet paparazzi (like regular paparazzi, but with less morals and more Erin Andrews), it appears more and more that there’s fire amidst all this smoke.

Consider: Shaq’s wife Shaunie announced Monday that she’s filing for divorce. That doesn’t mean the earlier rumors were true, of course. I'm pretty sure the average NBA superstar files for divorce like every three years (usually after All-Star Weekend).

BUT Shaq's divorce certainly lends credence to the story, and the rumors surrounding Shaq and Arenas’ fiance have persisted... And, put it this way: if these very NSFW e-mails are real, then it happened, and this hilarious blog post from Gilbert is suddenly excruciating to read.

So, to review, my favorite player’s fiance, currently pregnant with his third child, may have been cheating on him for an extended period of time. And just for fun, we’ll say it happened with another NBA superstar.
