Terrell Owens Misses Second Consecutive Day Of Practice

Compared to seasons past, the 2009 campaign has been relatively quiet for Terrell Owens. Ironically, T.O. is in the news today for something he didn't do or say. Thursday marked the second consecutive day he missed practice due to a hip strain he suffered on Tuesday.

According to the Bills website, head coach Dick Jauron and fellow wideout Lee Evans are unsure of the star receiver's status.

"He’s still struggling," said head coach Dick Jauron. "He didn’t come out to watch practice and (head athletic trainer) Bud (Carpenter) is working hard with him. They’ve got him doing different things. I believe that it’s better, but not good enough to be on the field. We’ll just have to see where it goes (Friday)."

"I don’t really know what his status is going to be," said fellow receiver Lee Evans. "Obviously we would love to have him in there, but right now he needs to get healthy and do what he has to do to try to play on Sunday. We’ll just have to address that when it comes, but for us we have to go out there and prepare to play on Sunday and win. That’s what it’s all about."

Owens has been the poster child for durability in the past. The last time No. 81 missed a game was when he suffered a cracked fibula in route to the Eagles eventual Super Bowl XXIX loss to the New England Patriots. At the current moment, however, T.O.'s status for Sunday's contest vs. the Titans remains uncertain.
