Ohio State Pounds James Madison, 72-44

Evan Turner didn't manage a second consecutive triple double for no. 16 Ohio State, but he now has a double double streak going to start the new season. Turner's 24 points and 11 boards paced the Buckeyes to their second straight win in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic, as they blew out JMU, 72-44.

The first real test for OSU comes a week from tonight in New York, when they face no. 6 North Carolina in the tournament’s semifinals. While the Tar Heels may match JMU’s turnovers for the night (16), they won’t shoot as poorly as the Dukes did (30 percent). It’s also highly unlikely that Ohio State will be able to hold the UNC lineup to bunch of single-digit scorers.
