Further Tests Reveal Broken Fibula; Cowboys’ Colombo Likely Out For Season

From Brad Biggs at National Football Post:

The Dallas Cowboys lost veteran right tackle Marc Colombo during the second quarter this afternoon at Green Bay with what could be a season-ending injury.

Colombo suffered a broken left fibula when Packers defensive tackle Johnny Jolly rolled up on the back of his leg. Colombo was taken for X-rays and the injury was announced.

So, despite the initially concerning report, it seems the news is much worse for the Dallas Cowboys. Doug Free, a former fourth round pick who’s been disappointing thus far in his career, will take over for Colombo at right tackle.
