Karo Parisyan Denies Pain Killer Addiction Rumors

Josh Gross “tweets” the following:

Karo Parisyan denies abuse of painkillers is the reason for not fighting. “Hell no, no addiction,” he said via text. “It’s anxiety.”

This comes on the heels of Five Ounces of Pain speaking to Neil Melanson, Karo’s friend and training partner, who said that Karo is struggling with a pain killer addiction which led to his pulling out.

The pain killer addiction makes sense based on Keith Kizer’s statements that Karo had a plan in place to pay his fine but called to discuss what pain killers he could take, and then shortly thereafter pulled out of his fight.

Still, I’m sure there are even more layers to the story and we will continue to follow up as details become available.
