Week 11 Sunday Fantasy Injuries
Checking out the injuries from all the Sunday games in Week 11.
The Washington Redskins continue to be cursed at running back; Ladell Betts, subbing for the injured Clinton Portis, went down with a season-ending knee injury. Rock Cartwright took over and played well, rushing and receiving the ball effectively.
A big blow to the Green Bay Packers defense, cornerback Al Harris is lost for the season with a torn ACL. The Packers used the combo of Harris and Charles Woodson to smother their opponents prime passing targets, now they may need to alter their scheme.
In a couple of jumbled backfields, one half of two rushing duos were injured. The time-share between Kolby Smith and Jamaal Charles was reduced to only Charles when Smith injured his ankle. Charles had a fine fantasy game, especially if he counts for kick-return points in your league. In another time-share, Marshawn Lynch was taken off the field with a shoulder injury, clearing the way for Fred Jackson to take over the load. We’ll monitor both injuries as the week progresses.
A couple of QBs came up woozy. Kurt Warner was taken out as a precaution after a head injury. Ben Roethlisberger missed the crucial overtime drive with a concussion. These are definitely injuries to watch with NFL teams seemingly sitting guys longer and more often with head injuries, especially concussions.
Matthew Stafford injured his should after getting driven into the turf on the second to the last play of the game. He stayed on to throw the dramatic game-winning TD, but was in obvious pain.
