The New Jersey Nets are in the midst of a spectacularly awful season right now--the team’s 0-14. And with New Jersey facing off against the heavily favored Nuggets and Blazers the next two nights, Friday’s game at Sacramento may decide whether the Nets’ equal the worst start in NBA history, at 0-17. About as bad as it gets.
Nets’ Spaceship Cleared For Landing
↵But today, at least they won something:
↵
↵New York State Court of Appeals rules in Ratner's favor on use of eminent domain for Nets arena. Bonds to be authorized at 10 am.
↵
↵What does this mean? Despite all the setbacks the plan’s suffered in recent years, the Nets are FINALLY cleared to break ground on their stadium in Brooklyn. And just in time to court Lebron, and welcome whatever uber-talented lottery pick they land after this year’s disaster. They won’t be allowed to forfeit the rest of this season, but it’s a consolation nonetheless.
↵Plus: A spaceship! In the middle of Brooklyn!
