Thanksgiving is a time for family, food and dial-up Internet access. I’ll be at grandmother’s house tearing up some cornbread dressing and about five different desserts but on the down side she has the slowest dial-up on the planet. I’m not even trying to adjust my line-up from her crib so I’m avoiding all Thursday questionable starts.
Week 12 Start/Sit: Turkey Day Special
Sit Them
Ahmad Bradshaw
Mike Garafolo said it best,
Not only is Bradshaw wearing a boot, he’s also on crutches. Yeah, I don’t think he’ll be playing Thurs.
Tony Romo, Jason Witten, and Miles Austin
Oakland actually has a good pass defense and now that the offense is showing signs of life, I’m actually scared of the Raiders, especially against a reeling Dallas team. Witten is a game-day decision and Austin isn’t a number one like all the hype suggested.
Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson
Green Bay’s secondary will feast on these two, if they even suit up. Stafford is pretty much out and Johnson is less than a 70% start.
Start Them
Brandon Jacobs
I expect Jacobs to carry a big load this week with Ahmad Bradshaw (ankle) likely out.
Aaron Rodgers, Ryan Grant, Donald Driver and Greg Jennings
Rutt Roh...after what Cleveland just did to Detroit I can’t wait to look at the stats after this one. Rodgers could break an NFL record tomorrow.
Brandon Marshall
The Giants are usually a lock to give up one or two big plays to a WR. Plus the Broncos will end up airing it out for most of the third and forth quarter.
Kevin Smith
Smith could be Detroit’s only play maker on the field. PPR leagues should feast with Smith and by the middle of the third quarter we should see Green Bay’s backups. Plenty of garbage time love for Smith.
Happy Thanksgiving and good luck this week!
