An Incomplete List of World Series Artifacts Heading To Cooperstown

↵ ↵

↵↵One of the great places to visit in this country is the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, not just because of the history of the game, but because the museum does a fantastic job of staying relevant with up-to-date exhibits. Immediately following the conclusion of Game Six of the World Series, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum grabbed some official items for an exhibit that will open in mid-November. ↵

↵↵Per the LoHud Yankees Blog, here is a list of the items taken for the display: ↵

↵↵⇥Artifacts Collected Wednesday night
↵⇥• Mariano Rivera hat from postseason
↵⇥• Hideki Matsui Game 6 bat
↵⇥• Derek Jeter Game 6 bat
↵⇥• Andy Pettitte cap from World Series
↵⇥• Johnny Damon spikes from Game 4 double steal
↵⇥• Jorge Posada mask for postseason
↵⇥• Jose Molina mask for post season
↵⇥• Suzyn Waldman Game 6 scorecard
↵⇥• Cliff Lee cap from postseason ↵↵↵Clearly the big-ticket item is Waldman’s scorecard, if only to see if she bothered to put in the last names of the Yankee players (“I was talking to Derek and Andy earlier ...”). ↵

↵↵Most notable is the fact that there’s nothing on the list from either Alex Rodriguez or Chase Utley, which makes us believe that it’s incomplete. So let’s think up some other items we’d like to see in the World Series Hall of Fame exhibit, some real and some fun. ↵

↵

↵↵

↵

↵ ↵

↵↵• Utley hair grease, glue, or whatever he uses.
↵• New York Post Pedro Martinez baby in a diaper cover
↵• The monkey off Joe Girardi’s back
↵• Rodriguez’s elbow armor
↵• Pettitte’s baserunning jacket for pitchers. Love. Those. Things.
↵• The x-ray of Shane Victorino’s hand
↵• A-Rod’s shoes (made of steel?)
↵• Alicia Keys’s boots
↵• Ryan Howard bat with no ball marks on it whatsoever
↵• Nick Swisher’s fauxhawk
↵• Charlie Manuel’s face band-aid
↵• The missing 2,010 standing-room tickets for Game Six (capacity listed at 52,325 with standing room and posted attendance was 50,315)
↵• Rudy Giuliani ↵

↵↵What did we miss? And how can we make Kate Hudson funny? Add yours in the comments. (H/T Walkoff Walk) ↵
