BJ Penn showed up to the UFC 107 press conference in an RVCA shirt, as is usual for Penn. What was unusual was the fact that he had black tape over the RVCA initials on the shirt.
RVCA Sponsorship Ban in UFC Confirmed
↵This confirms the talk that RVCA was banned from featured sponsorship by UFC fighters following their sponsorship of Fedor Emelianenko on the Strikeforce on CBS event back in November.
↵Honestly, it’s a very cheap move by the UFC and seems to bring up the possibility of more problems than any benefit it provides. While certainly their business moves to this point have been very successful at some point the us or them mentality will come back and sting them a little bit.
