Allen’s final numbers don’t jump out at you, but he scored eight points, grabbed three rebounds and notched two assists in 17 minutes of play. The Celtics outscored the Wizards by 14 points with Allen on the floor, a significant number considering the 104-102 result of the game.

Ray Allen scored 18 points to surpass 20,000 points for his career. Paul Pierce eclipsed 19,000 career points with a 12-point performance. Kevin Garnett added 17 points while Kendrick Perkins ended with 16 points and 11 rebounds for Boston, which hasn’t lost since November 20 against Orlando.
