As crippling long-term contracts go, Elton Brand’s has got to be up there, right? The 76ers signed him to a huge deal in 2008, and Brand has been a shell of himself since. If the 76ers weren’t currently employing Allen Iverson, this would get more attention.

↵In all seriousness, yeah, it’s disrespectful to be benched for a rookie like that, but when your team has lost 12 in a row, nobody’s starting job should be safe. Pick up your play, don’t whine about it, and maybe you’ll get your job back.
