Charlie Frye To Start Sunday Against Cleveland
Charlie Frye, who made his first start of the season last week in Oakland’s 20-19 win at Denver, but lasted only until he was knocked out of the game with a concussion, will reportedly get the nod as starter against this week against the Browns.
Before he can play (or practice), Frye has to be “symptom-free” from his concussion.

Adam Schefter is reporting that the Raiders will start Charlie Frye, who has not thrown a pass all regular season, in place of the injured Bruce Gradkowski Sunday at Denver. Keep in mind that Russell is perfectly healthy and physically capable of playing. In other words, head coach Tom Cable has decided that Frye is the better QB than Russell.
