Texas-Pan American No Match For No. 2 Texas

December 15 - Austin, TX (Sports Network) - Avery Bradley had 18 points to pace second- ranked Texas to a 104-42 rout of Texas-Pan American at the Erwin Center.

Jordan Hamilton added 15 points and seven rebounds, while Dexter Pittman had 14 and seven for the Longhorns (9-0), who will put their undefeated record on the line Saturday in Arlington against 10th-ranked North Carolina.

Gary Johnson scored 12, while Justin Mason added 10 points for Texas.

Luis Valera had 10 points and was the only player to reach double figures for the Broncs (1-10), who have lost five in a row. Matt Mierzycki ended with eight points and six rebounds in the setback.

With the game tied a 4-4 early in the first half, Texas took control with a 13-0 run that included a pair of three-pointers from Hamilton. The Longhorns turned it into a blowout shortly thereafter, as a 14-0 run expanded their advantage to 33-11 with 4 1/2 minutes left in the half.

Texas took a 45-19 lead into the break and cruised in the second half.

Texas shot 53.3 percent, though made only 16-of-29 free throws. The Longhorns also held a 64-31 rebounding edge...The Broncs shot 23.8 percent.
