Quarterbacks
Start Them!
Jason Campbell: It finally looks like he is on track. In the last 3 weeks he hasn't dipped below 20 fantasy points and I don't see that happening against a very suspect Giants pass defense this week who in the last 6 weeks are near the bottom in most pass defensive categories.
Donovan McNabb: The 49ers just played an emotional game on Monday night and now get to travel to Philadelphia. They are in line for a bit of a letdown. McNabb has a good history with the 49ers averaging 277 yards and 2 TD's in his five games against them. Get him in your lineup!
Running Backs
Arian Foster: Coach Kubiak says Foster will get more work against St. Louis than he had last week. That should lead to the bulk of the carries, which is good for any back when they are facing the Swine Flu ridden Rams.
Laurence Maroney: It's tough trusting any running back under Bill Belichick's tutelage, but Maroney has a great matchup and seems to have a tenuous hold on the starting position. If you could have started every running back who faced the Bills this year you would be killing in your league!
Wide Receivers
Antonio Bryant: You saw what Andre Johnson did to Seattle last week, well, Bryant gets that same matchup and should do well. He was on a roll before he ran into Darelle Revis so feel good about starting him this week as a #1 WR.
Dwayne Bowe: I was a bit skeptical about Bowe after being out 4 weeks, but all reports say he is in shape and should quickly regain his WR #1 status. Add to that he gets the Cleveland Browns at home and you have to take the risk that he'll be able to shake off his rustiness quickly.
Sit Down!
Quarterbacks
Brett Favre: Yes, he's been amazing this year and is in the MVP race, but there is a good chance you drafted Favre very late or even picked him up in free agency so you should have a pretty good "back up" to him. Carolina has a good pass defense and Favre has looked human lately. Plus, Percy Harvin is still having migraine trouble. I would be wary.
Matt Hasselbeck: Yes, it's Tampa Bay in Seattle, but the Bucs are actually decent in pass defense with Talib shutting down receivers. Add to that Hasselbeck is an injury waiting to happen and Nate Burleson is out and you have a recipe for a lot of running against a bad Bucs run defense.
Running Backs
Quinton Ganther: Yes he got into the end zone twice last week, but that was against a bad Oakland run defense. The Giants have shored up their run defense as of late. I see the Redskins throwing a lot in what could be a shootout.
Ryan Grant: The Steelers have hit the skids, but their run defense has remained steady. With no Troy Polamalu the Packers will take the path of least resistance, which is to throw the ball a lot. Grant won't have much room to run.
Wide Receivers
Roddy White: Yes, it's old hat putting whoever is facing Darelle Revis on the sit list, but it has to be said, especially with a talent like White. You've seen some of the names he's shut down already this year. Roddy will be in good company.
Steve Smith (CAR): Antoine Winfield is back and looks ready to play. He should be shadowing the Panthers only receiving threat and will be able to keep his numbers down. Smith is always a threat, but he is also extremely risky against Winfield.
