At the half of Friday night’s game, the Raptors led the Nets, 70-33. A margin of that size wasn’t likely to hold; usually a team that far ahead will give its starters some bench time, lug a dozen or so sandbags onto the court, lock up the equipment, and call it a night.
Were You Aware That The Nets Are Bad At Basketball? Terrell Owens Is!
↵Television’s Terrell Owens, who was at the game, tweeted testament to the Nets’ abysmal play:
↵↵I’m @ the raptors/nets gm & I’m telling u RITE NOW that I CAN PLAY 4 THE NETS!!! This is a D-league team if that!!
↵↵Certainly, T.O. would be a tremendous presence in the clubhouse of a 2-24 team. At some point in April, he’d stumble upon the epiphany that the Nets are, in fact, more like the Nots (in the sense that they are “not” a good basketball team)!
