Concussions are front and center this year in the NFL. A rash of concussions to high profile offensive players have made teams, and the league, very cautious about putting those guys back on the field. Brian Westbrook has been out for weeks and we still don’t know when he’ll return. Now the Eagles have another offensive weapon that is likely to miss time from a concussion.
Week 13 Fantasy Injury Update: DeSean Jackson Very Unlikely To Play
DeSean Jackson says it’s very unlikely that he’ll play in Week 13.
“I don’t think I can go,” Jackson said. “I blacked out.”
Jackson was unconscious on the field, the Eagles and Jackson should be very careful. But for you fantasy owners of Jackson, the next few weeks could be a large issue for your roster.
On the other side of the concussion/head injury ledger, Ben Roethlisberger is expected to play this week.
Cedric Benson should be a go for Cincy.
Clinton Portis is out for Week 13, but says a doctor has cleared him, but he’ll wait for a second opinion on Dec. 7th.
Bernard Scott has turf toe, that’s the injury that limited his second half carries in last week’s game.
In another shot to an under-performing Giants defense, Antonio Pierce went on IR.
