At SB Nation Fantasy Football, we never give up the ghost. Sure, most teams in the championship game won’t even bother to sniff the waiver wire in Week 16. But we know there are plenty of teams fighting to not be in last place, or other teams in the middle of the pack that are just playing for pride. In other words, someone, somewhere is searching for a waiver wire pickup and we at SB Nation Fantasy Football feel your pain.
Week 16 Add/Drop: We Never Give Up Edition
So we tracked down some suggestions from Michael Fabiano at NFL.com.
Need a QB?
Matt Moore: Waiver wires are thin across the fantasy landscape at this point in the season. If you’re in a deeper league that starts two quarterbacks, Moore’s worth a look coming off a solid 29-point performance Sunday night. Next week, Moore faces a Giants defense that’s struggled to stop opposing quarterbacks all season. That makes him a viable sleeper candidate.
Maybe a RB? How about someone other than Jerome Harrison?
Michael Bush: I know, trying to figure out which Raiders running back to start (if any) is harder than predicting which house Santa Claus will visit first on Christmas Eve. But we’re heading into Week 16, and Bush is coming off a huge performance vs. the Broncos. He also has an upcoming matchup against the Browns, who have been terrible against the run. He’s worth a look.
How about a WR?
Josh Morgan: Morgan has scored double-digit fantasy points on NFL.com in two of his last three games, including a 12-point performance in Week 15 against the Eagles. A viable No. 3 or 4 fantasy option in larger leagues, Morgan has a great upcoming matchup against the Detroit Lions. Their defense has allowed the second-most fantasy points (25.6 PPG) to wide receivers.
