Though the Celtics managed to put away the Magic on Christmas Day by an 86-77 score, forward Kevin Garnett left the game with an injury.

A Boston club playing without Paul Pierce due to a right knee injury also lost Garnett late in the game when he leaped to block a Vince Carter shot, fell awkwardly to the court, then rose and hobbling to the bench holding his back.

Garnett’s participation in Friday’s game had been questioned to begin with, as he was nursing a thigh injury. Before leaving the game, he was good for 10 points and 7 rebounds.

NBC Sports reports that Garnett will likely be listed as questionable for the Celtics' matchup with the Clippers on December 27th.
