King of the Cage will be heading to Japan in 2010. King of the Cage has a site set up for the event and has the following fights listed as appearing on the card:
King Of The Cage Heads To Japan In 2010
King of the Cage World Junior Flyweight Championship
Mamoru Yamaguchi (22-5-3) vs. Frank Baca (6-0)LW: Kotetsu Boku (15-6-2) vs. Tony Hervey (11-6)
WW: Kiichi “Strasser” Kunimoto (8-3, 1 NC) vs. Toby Imada (22-13)
BW: Tatsuya So (4-3-1) vs. Shigeki Matsuda (debut)
FW: Shinya Kumazawa (3-6) vs. Steve Hecht (4-1)
LW: Tsuyoshi Tamaki (2-0) vs. Byron Schnell (0-1)
The top end of the card is very good for a KotC event. I recently took a look at some of Mamoru Yamaguchi’s fights at Bloody Elbow. He is a really good fighter who is a blast to watch based on his willingness to trade punches.
Tony Hervey recently lost his KotC lightweight title but he has some name value in Japan after dropping a decision to one of the best lightweights in the world in Gomi. Hervey almost scored a knockout in the last round of that fight. The scrap with Boku should be a good one.
