After missing the past four games due to a groin injury, Ravens safety Ed Reed reportedly plans to play on Sunday against the Raiders, absent any setbacks in practice this week, according to Jason LaCanfora of NFL.com.
Ravens S Ed Reed Plans To Return From Injury On Sunday
Reed has not played due to an assortment of foot and groin injuries since November 29th. At 8-7, the Ravens control their own destiny in the packed AFC wildcard chase, only needing a win in Oakland to punch a ticket to the postseason. While the Raiders have certainly struggled this season, they've played well as of late (mostly due to Jamarcus Russell's benching, notwithstanding his decent performance out of the bullpen against Denver). Oakland has also displayed a penchant for playing up to their opponents -- as the Eagles, Bengals and Steelers well know -- making Reed's potential return that much more important for Baltimore.
