Clothing Company With Neo-Nazi Ties Sponsoring UFC Fighters

It has been a slow news day as we wait for The Ultimate Fighter Finale to get here on Saturday. So on that note let’s rewind to yesterday when I wrote an article at BloodyElbow.com explaining the connections between the company Hoelzer Reich, which will be sponsoring UFC fighter Joe Brammer Saturday, and various Neo-Nazi individuals.

↵Most damning of which may be Hoelzer Reich’s apparent involvement with the band Westwall:

↵↵West Wall is a neo-Nazi metal band led by the former leader of the neo-Nazi skinhead group Northern Hammerskins.

↵↵Prior to a few days ago HR’s myspace page had a playlist of Westwall songs, photos of Westwall in HR gear with their logo all over it, a blog post calling Westwall the label’s “favorite band” and an interview where Westwall’s singer said they were sponsored by HR. Oh, and despite the fact that the label enjoyed Westwall’s music in multiple places they then went on to say that they put up the photo of the band without knowing anything about them.

↵HR denies ever sponsoring Westwall despite all evidence to the contrary. They also point out that the band is “war metal” not “Neo-Nazi metal” despite the band being named after a German defense line in WW1 and WW2 and having songs about the Nazi invasion of France. Oh, and that pesky fact about the front man being a former leader of a violent group of skinheads.

↵And then there are the little things. Like the announcement by a specific HR shirt that “The Fourth Reich has begun” Not exactly a lot of double meaning in ” Fourth Reich ” Oh, and then there is the little fact that they have stolen designs directly from Neo-Nazi clothing companies and just put their own logo on the design and selling it for profit. OR the fact that they sponsor Neo-Nazi fighter Niko Puhakka. The list goes on…

↵HR may claim that they have no Neo-Nazi ties but in my world…if it talks like a Nazi, and it walks like a Nazi, it is a Nazi. And I don’t want it in my sport.
