According to KUsports.com, Kansas junior wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe is expected to declare for the NFL Draft at a Friday news conference.
Kansas’ Dezmon Briscoe expected to enter draft
For his career, Briscoe had 219 receptions for 3,240 yards and 31 touchdowns. He also had a rushing touchdown and a kickoff return touchdown. He earned first-team All-Big 12 honors this season and second-team honors in 2008.
Officially listed at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, Briscoe certainly has impressive size. He uses his frame to get position in the air and does a nice job of beating the jam.
But Briscoe has been hampered throughout his college career by mental lapses and dropped passes. While he can make spectacular catches look routine, Briscoe will drop the easiest of passes. He’s also had some fumbling issues and will take plays off.
For me, Briscoe projects as a mid-second-round pick, at best.
