Steve Slaton Expected To Miss Game

Steve Slaton has a shoulder injury that should keep him out of this Sunday’s game against Jacksonville. The injury is causing numbness in his fingers.

The numbness is a result of a previously undisclosed shoulder injury. Coach Gary Kubiak did not completely rule out Slaton, but the fact he did not practice Friday makes it unlikely he will play.

Slaton has had fumbling problems and was demoted from the starting tailback, but was still the most dynamic runner on the Texans. Now it looks like Chris Brown will get the start with Ryan Moats as his backup. Brown has yet to show much this season so even if he starts there is a good chance that Moats will also see a lot of work. If you are desperate, Brown will continue to be the goal line back and would be the best bet to get into the endzone.
