Brendan Witt Hit by SUV; Will Play Tonight

Islanders defenseman Brendan Witt got hit by an SUV crossing the street in Philadelphia Tuesday morning. He will supposedly still be the lineup when the Islanders play the Flyers on Versus tonight.

The obvious comment here is that he’s playing because he’s a hockey player…but I’m wondering if the driver of the SUV was on a hit to help the struggling Flyers? Course realizing that Witt’s plus/minus is an abysmal -15, maybe they would’ve been helping the Islanders.
