It’s not often this late in the season that a running back becomes available that has some true starting potential. But we have one this week with the recent injury to Cleveland Browns’ running back Jamal Lewis. The end of his season opened the door for Jerome Harrison to step in for Week 13, and Harrison got the job done. He finished with only 35 yards rushing, but his flexibility as a pass receiver really paid off with seven catches for 62 yards and 2 TDs. You can bet Harrison will be a hot target on the waiver wire this week.
Week 14 Add/Drop: Jerome Harrison Applies For RB Position
NFL.com’s Michael Fabiano concurs:
Harrison will be one of the hottest free agents in fantasy football this week. The versatile back was clearly ahead of RB Chris Jennings on the depth chart in Week 13, finishing with an impressive 21 fantasy points in standard leagues. With games against the Chiefs and Raiders ahead of the schedule, Harrison could turn into a viable flex starter in the postseason.
Meanwhile, if you need a WR for the playoff run, consider a Dolphin. Yes, that’s a Miami Dolphin, but don’t scoff, Chad Henne lit it up on Sunday with 335 yards and 2 TDs. His partner-in-crime for all that passing? Davone Bess.
[Bess]...now deserves a repeat appearance after his 117-yard, one-touchdown performance against the Patriots. He’s become the top option in the pass attack for Henne, and it’s shown in his numbers. Since Week 10, Bess has posted a combined 23 receptions for 286 yards. He has added value in PPR leagues.
And while we’re discussing Bess, if you need a second QB to play or feel vulnerable and need another backup QB, Chad Henne might be a good place to start.
