↵↵Boston @ New York Rangers: What is it about the weekend schedule and the Boston Bruins. Every time I seem to turn around, it looks like the Bs are being forced to endure yet another weekend of back-to-back games against superior opponents. After playing the Blackhawks on Friday night, the Bruins will get to hope the shuttle to New York to face the recently reconstituted Rangers at MSG. As luck would have it, both teams are starting to look a little desperate. After building up a big conference lead, the Devils trail Boston by only six points. Meanwhile, the Rangers are still in danger of missing the playoffs altogether, enjoying nothing more than a three-point edge over Carolina and Buffalo. Preview it here and track it on SN’s live scoreboard. ↵

↵↵Pittsburgh @ Washington: When these two teams last met on February 22, a 5-2 Capitals victory, it was clear they were headed in opposite directions. But ever since, Washington has been on a slide that’s included three-straight losses at home, while Pittsburgh has reeled off five-straight wins. On the injury front, Alex Ovechkin sat out Thursday’s game against Toronto with a heel injury, but he’s expected to be back in the lineup to welcome Sidney Crosby back to Washington. ↵
