Rams Lock Up ... Plane Ticket For Sanchez

So the Rams, ever pragmatic, have decided to use their power of perfect information to ... buy a plane ticket for Mark Sanchez to travel from L.A. to St. Louis.

↵Steve Wyche reports at NFL.com that the Rams acquired a ticket for Sanchez to travel to Missouri on Sunday, in the event the Rams actually draft Sanchez. As the USC product hasn’t been an option for the Lions recently, that the ticket purchase came before word of Detroit’s Stafford signing is of no matter.

↵For what it’s worth, Rams GM Billy Devaney told ESPN’s Mike Tirico this morning that as of last night, the team has a pick they have settled on. But something could also change their mind. None of it makes sense ... which would lead me to think that it’s some sort of gamesmanship with a potential buyer for the No. 2 pick. For all the cracks about saving a few bucks, a $1,000 plane ticket is nothing in the grand game of draft truth-shrouding.↵
