Okay, Leif Olson, Now You’re Just Showing Off

↵At the Canadian Open, the Par 3 15th has been something less than a challenge; in the second round, four players aced it.↵

↵↵But nobody pulled off anything quite like Leif Olson’s shot yesterday. Olson, a fringe pro who has earned less than $20,000 this season, just significantly upped that total with this unconventional--but innovative--combination of golf and billiards:↵

↵↵“Golf shot of the year”? Sure, in terms of pure spectacle, probably nothing (not even Retief Goosen’s double eagle) will top that. Skill? Eh. Show us somebody who says they can do that from 50 yards, and we’ll show you a bald-faced liar.↵

↵↵But we digress. That’s still a highlight for the ages. We don’t know how much of that $19,500 that he’s earned this year is still in his bank account, but we have a feeling a good portion of it is going to tonight’s bar tab after such a superlative ace. ↵
