Top supplemental prospect Jeremy Jarmon gaining attention

Former Kentucky defensive end Jeremy Jarmon worked out for 18 NFL teams today at UK’s Nutter Field House.

Among those in attendance was Vinny Cerrato, Washington’s executive vice president of football operations. He seemed impressed with the 6-foot-3, 273-pound Jarmon.

“I think he worked out well,” Cerrato said. “He ran well and was in good shape. He needs to get a little stronger, but he represented himself well. He’s a great kid, solid in the locker room, he’s smart. He’s got all of the intangible things.”

Another NFC East team, Philadelphia, has shown the most interest in Jarmon. During workouts, Jarmon’s 40-yard dash times were between 4.79 and 4.83 seconds. During Kentucky pro day earlier this year, Jarmon ran a 4.76 40.

The supplemental draft will be held July 16. Other possible prospects who could be drafted are Florida State wide receiver Corey Surrencey and Central Michigan offensive tackle Joe McMahon.
