Quite often in our image-is-everything world, athletes are spokesmen for various charitable causes. And sometimes, the likeness of an athlete is used to promote a cause they do not, actually, endorse. With that in mind, it would be a stretch to think that Michael Jordan actually approved his likeness -- or at least a satirical silhouette of his likeness -- in this Brazilian public service announcement to help save the Atlantic rainforest. ↵The campaign is actually quite brilliant, if not a bit bizarre. Creatures from all walks of life -- everyone from Steven Hawking to Jordan to King Kong -- relieving themselves in the shower, all in the good name of water conservation. How can you save water? By going in the shower and avoiding just one flush per day, the average household can save up to 1,157 gallons of water per year. After all, “It’s all pipes! What’s the difference?”↵
