Offsides: Urban Meyer Is a Rich Man

↵↵In a new recurring series called Offsides, which will run↵Monday-Thursday with the occasional Friday, LSUFreek plays the role of↵TSB editorial cartoonist.↵

↵↵We weren’t present when the Florida coach Urban Meyer began contract negotiations with the University Athletic Association back in June. We suspect Meyers’ pitch went something like this: “I realize, of course, it’s no shame to be poor. But it’s no great honor either, especially, since is Saban making $650K more than me for not winning anything made of crystal. So what would have been so terrible if I had a small fortune.”↵We are unsure if he broke into song ala Fiddler on the Roof, or if he performed similar gyrations, however, Meyer still garnered a deal that will pay him $4 million per year over the next six years.↵

↵↵Now he can biddy biddy bum all day long.↵
