Play Resumes Finally, Serena Drops First Set

After about an eight hour delay, play finally got back underway at the US Open at around 9:15 ET. Kim Clijsters took the first set from Serena Williams 6-4, with some bad errors from Serena in the final game of the set to give the Belgian the break and the set.

Caroline Wozniacki and Yanina Wickmayer have begun their match as well, at Armstrong Stadium. They’re currently tied 2-2.
