Carolina put together a long opening drive which ended in an 11-yard TD run from DeAngelo Williams. The drive was kept alive on a fourth and short conversion several plays before scoring six.

Philly punted on its first drive, which was followed by Jake Delhomme’s first of many INTs to come. The pass was thrown well behind the crossing receiver, and picked by Sheldon Brown and a pretty impressive catch. The Eagles turned the pick into three points off a 48-yard FG.
