Shocker: Mike Hampton to Miss 2010 Season

Oft-injured Houston Astros pitcher Mike Hampton will miss the 2010 season after undergoing shoulder surgery. According to MLB.com, the lefty received a repair of a full rotator cuff tear today at New York's hospital for Special Surgery.

Hampton signed the 24th largest contract in sports history with the Rockies in 2000, but has been limited by injuries throughout the majority of his career. The 37-year-old posted a 7-10 with a 5.30 ERA in his 21 starts this season.
