Lebron Gets His Own ‘Space Jam’

Following in the footsteps of Michael Jordan’s hare-brained (get it?) Looney Tunes comedy, Lebron James has signed on to star in an upcoming feature film that’s being produced by Brian Grazer. The movie’s called Fantasy Basketball Camp, and James will play himself.

↵It centers around five guys who travel to Las Vegas to live out their fantasy by attending James’ basketball camp, and should be a slightly more uplifting variance on the sports fandom portrayed in the new Patton Oswalt film, Big Fan. (Though wouldn’t it be crazy if James played a Quantrell Bishop-type role?)

↵This is yet another turn in the entertainment world for James, who’s starred in a slew of entertaining commercials, hosted Saturday Night Live, and is the centerpiece of a forthcoming documentary that I’m way, way too excited for. “Two words: Global. Icon.”
