Kevin Weekes said he considers his new gig with Hockey Night in Canada “a move forward.” At least that’s what he said in an interview with CBC, his new employer.
Weekes Sees Hockey Night in Canada as ‘A Move Forward’
“This is my main focus,” said Weekes of his role with HNIC, which he said could involve working as a game analyst on West Coast games. “But I’m a player first. I’ll always want to play. In transitioning, I’m at peace [with my decision].”
Weekes is also working on the NHL Network’s highlight show “On The Fly.” Planting roots on two different networks hardly seems like the behavior of someone who is waiting by the phone for a GM to call.
