Chicago Blackhawks enforcer Adam Burish tore his ACL in a preseason game with the Minnesota Wild this Sunday. He is expected to miss six months recovering from surgery, reports the Chicago Tribune:

“Burish went into the boards on Sunday night in Minnesota and injured his right knee,” team doctor Michael Terry said. “When a player like him leaves the ice it is always concerning and unfortunately he suffered an ACL tear.”
No word yet on how the Blackhawks plan to compensate for the loss of the career-high six goals Burish contributed last year.
