Colts DE Dwight Freeney Will Play Despite Quad Injury

SBN’s Stampede Blue reports that Colts DE Dwight Freeney will start today as Indianapolis faces Seattle at home. This comes after Freeney was initially thought to be out 2-3 weeks, but cautioned the pessimists among us, saying he’s a “fast healer.” Really fast, I suppose.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting the Freeney’s leg injury will sideline him for 2-3 weeks. The Colts’ bye week is in three weeks, making Week 7 (Oct. 25th) his likely return game. The two games he’ll miss are at home against the Seahawks and on the road against the Titans.
